भवान्भीष्मश्र्च कर्णश्र्च कृपश्र्च समितिंजयः |
अश्र्वत्थामा विकर्णश्र्च सौमदत्तिस्तथैव च || ८ ||
You yourself, Bhishma, Karna, Kripacharya are in my army; Ashvatthama, Vikarna and Somdutt's son Bhurishrava etc. are those who have always been victorious in war.
Duryodhana mentions those unique warriors who have always been victorious. Vikarna is the brother of Duryodhana, Ashvatthama is the son of Dronacharya and Somdatti or Bhurishrava is the son of the king of Bahlikas. Karna is Arjun's half brother because he was born from Kunti's womb before she married King Pandu. Kripacharya's twin sister was married to Dronacharya.
