अन्य च बहवः श्रूरा मदर्थे त्यक्तजीविताः |
नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणाः सर्वे युद्धविशारदाः || ९ ||
There are other heroes too who are ready to sacrifice their lives for me. They are equipped with various types of weapons and are adept in warfare.
As far as others like Jayadratha, Kritavarma and Shalya are concerned, they all were ready to sacrifice their lives for Duryodhana. In other words, it is predestined that they will die in the battle of Kurukshetra due to their joining the group of sinful Duryodhana. Undoubtedly, due to the combined strength of his friends, Duryodhana was confident of his victory.
